Welcome to Jacksonville!

     Oh, where to start? I am Jenn and I live in the good ol' city of Jacksonville, North Carolina. Most people my age talk about how boring this place can be but I am a firm believer you can have a good time anywhere you go. Sometimes you have to bring the fun with you. When you are having a good time people feel your energy and the feeling spreads.

     My saving grace here in Jacksonville is Hooligans. It is our main music venue. On thursdays and saturdays they have hip-hop night but on fridays and sundays they have live bands. I've seen bands like Hatebreed, Alter Bridge, and Killswitch Engage there. In the rock music scene these are all pretty big bands. Right here in boring Jacksonville.

     As for work opportunities they can be quite limited. It seems as though if you don't have some sort of medical degree or real estate liscense you are doomed to work a low paying customer service job. The most I ever made was 9.00 an hour asnwering phones for a satellite company. Now I thought that was great money for this area but I hated the job so I moved on. I now work for a pretty busy cab company. I've been dispatching for the last three years but have driven for the company for about 5 years before that. I am at the point with this job that I am not happy but I feel stuck but it pays the bills. Maybe one day I will find something I am truly happy with
